Review: Enjoy Hair Care
In my last post I briefly mentioned my new shampoo and conditioner. For about a month I've been using products from the brand Enjoy. I had never heard of this brand before but I'm so glad that I found it. Enjoy is safe to use on color treated hair because it is sulfate free. It locks in hair color, adds frizz control, and gives the hair strength. Enjoy products also have the "perfect pH" that is compatible with the hair so you are able to wash your hair everyday if need be without stripping its natural oils. I find that I can go two days without washing my hair. I use the Sulfate-Free Shampoo and the Instant Reconstructor Conditioner. The shampoo uses Cleanse Sensor technology, which means that the shampoo will only foam once the hair is clean. This ensures that the conditioner will get the job done. The shampoo is very light and I feel that my hair is really cleansed after I've washed it. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a light melon scent that smells really good and isn't overpowering. The conditioner I use is made for hair that has been chemically and needs intense moisture. I don't use heat on my hair but I still have pretty bad split ends. This conditioner mends and moisturizes my ends and controls my frizz without weighing my hair down. My hair looks light and shiny once its dry, which is a rare thing for my thick hair. I have also noticed that my hair has grown more in the month I've been using Enjoy, than in the three months I was using my old shampoo. I recommend Enjoy to anyone with damaged hair. I love these products and I hope you will try them out.

Ava Hair Oil: Better than Moroccan Oil?
For the past six months I've been having trouble with my hair. I have thick hair with dry ends and oily roots. My shampoo claimed that it was "hydrating" and "sulfate free" but the results made me question the claim. My oily roots would weigh down my hair and my ends would frizz leaving me with "triangle hair." No matter what treatment I would use, my hair stayed the same. This was rather frustrating because I've been trying to grow out my hair since I opted for a bob in 8th grade (not a good look). I recently bought new shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free and has dramatically improved my hair (review to come later), but I have to give credit to my new hair oil which has also changed my hair for the better. Ava Oil is an all natural brand without any parabens or sulfates, it's formulated for all hair types, made with recycled materials, and isn't tested on animals. A friend to our hair and to the animals- what a brand! I apply this to the ends of my hair and work the excess upward. After the first application, a majority of my split ends had been healed, my frizz had been eliminated, and it left my hair feeling so soft. It left a nice glossy finish and didn't weigh my hair down. I've used Moroccan Oil in the past and found that it weighed my hair down and I hated the smell. Unlike Moroccan Oil, (which is nut based), Ava Oil is plant based and smells of grape seed. It leaves a fresh and calm scent that isn't overpowering. It seriously is calming, whenever I run it through my hair I'm instantly relaxed. It is also clear in color so it is suitable for blondes and lighter hair colors. I absolutely love this stuff. It has changed my hair for the better and I will never look back. It is on the pricey side at $35.95 for 3.4 oz. but it is worth it. I love this oil so much and I hope you will give it a try.
